We recently installed 2 Worcester Oil boilers in a cellar to serve a large house in Gaulby. We removed the existing 30 years old boiler and replaced it with 2 Worcester Bosch Camray 50/70 oil fired condensing boilers. As we only had 1 chinmey we had to get a specialist commercial flue company to design the flue system which we then installed . We then powerflushed the system to ensure the efficient running of the system for years to come.
We also upgraded the hot water system by installing a Heatrae Sadia mains pressured hot water system suitable for future solar connection.

You might have heard about ground source heating on TV shows such as Grand Designs - but what is it and how does it work?
Well, imagine that your garden is a big solar panel, storing the sun’s energy. Ground source cleverly uses this energy by extracting heat from the ground via a network of underground pipes. This energy is then transferred through a refrigerant circuit to produce temperatures of up to 65C which is used to provide you with heating and hot water. As this energy is free, you only pay for is the electricity needed to run the unit, guaranteeing you big savings. This technology has been used in Sweden for over 40 years and is proven to work - even in sub zero temperatures.
Is it right for me?
You will need a reasonable amount of land to site the underground pipework. There are three different types of system.
Horizontal collectors
This system consists of a series of loops of 40mm pipework buried to a depth of one metre. The length of the pipework needed varies depending on the heating needs of your property, but will usually be more than 400m in total length.
Compact collectors
These are panels of pipework joined together to create the length of pipework necessary. Whilst they take up less room, due to their size the trench needed is bigger at 2m wide and 1.5m deep.
