Power Flushing is a very important aspect of maintaining central heating systems, so important that Building Regulations has seen it fit to make it mandatory to have a Power Flush on any new boiler installed on an old system.
Benefits of power flushing
- Prevents and removes the build up of sludge
- Improves the efficiency of your central heating system
- Helps prolong the life of your central heating system
- Improves heat distribution throughout your home
- Helps prevent boiler breakdown
- Hotter radiators
- Faster heating up times
- Reduces boiler noise
- Reduces your heating bills by improving the effiency of the radiators
- On average, 3kgs of sludge is removed*
Simply put Power Flushing is the removal of sludge (black magnetite) and corrosion debris from a central heating system. This is carried out by pumping chemicals throughout the central heating system to loosen the sludge which is then removed from the system. The process is very clean, there is no mess from any aspect of the work and no radiators need to be removed in order for the job to be completed. The power flush procedure will last no longer than one day (depending on the number of radiators).
When it comes to Power Flushing we strongly recommend having a Magnaclean fitted to your system regardless if it is new or old. If you would like more information on MagnaCleans and how they can really benefit your system, follow the link below:
