In September 2015, the Worcester Bosch Greenstar gas boiler range was awarded the Which? Best Buy accolade for the sixth consecutive year.
Who decides the winners?
The awards are decided according to scores given by customers and engineers. This year marked the first time that engineers’ views have been taken into consideration alongside those of homeowners. The survey polled 10,779 owners and 110 engineers. All of the latter are accredited under the Which? Trusted Trader scheme. In order to ensure neutrality, engineers are not allowed to vote for products that they or their employers are incentivised to install.
Highest score, many top marks
Overall, the Greenstar range has been given a rating of 79%. A breakdown of the scores shows the Worcester Bosch product was awarded a maximum 5 stars in each of the six applicable categories. This includes top marks for reliability, customer satisfaction and build quality. This covers every gas boiler in the Greenstar range – a total of 33 different products.
The annual survey compared 11 brands in total, revealing Worcester to be the most reliable, with their boilers remaining fault free longer than all other manufacturers.
“Fantastic build quality… Extremely reliable”
According to the Which? report, Worcester Bosch Greenstar boilers have “fantastic build quality and easy to source parts and spares”. They also praised the manufacturer for having “extremely reliable products across the range… a Worcester, Bosch Group gas boiler is worthy of its Best Buy status”, they said.
