Air Source Heat Pumps

Why not use the outside air to heat your home? Even in freezing cold winters (as low as -15°C), an air source heat pump can extract heat from the air to heat your home and hot water.

Using a renewable source and a heat pump can reduce your heating costs. The savings will depend on where you live, the size of your house and the fuel you are replacing. Heat pumps can halve your home’s carbon emissions as there is no combustion process involved, which is much kinder to the environment.

Underfloor Heating

At Lewington Heating we install hydronic underfloor heating systems, more commonly known as wet UFH. Water pipes are installed under the floor, circulating warm water from your boiler around the room.

This hidden, low-maintenance heating solution uses less energy than a radiator system, as it requires a lower water temperature. In fact, wet UFH can be up to 25% more efficient than a radiator, saving you money and helping the environment at the same time.

Solar Hot Water

Solar water heating solutions, also called solar thermal technology, use panels on your roof to collect the heat from the sun to heat your water.

Solar thermal can be used alongside a regular immersion heater or boiler, which will kick in when your solar supply runs out. The more water you can heat in this way, the less money you’ll spend on heating bills.
